Mobile, Alabama— AFC Mobile will be out this weekend at the SASA Championship in Herndon (Sage) Park to scout, discuss the future, and watch some good local football.
Before the game, members of the AFC Mobile board will be in the parking lot of Sage Park selling t-shirts and scarfs. Any person who wishes can march to the two SASA Championship matches with the board. Both championship games will be played at 7:00PM. The first division championship will be between Legion FC and J Adams, while Vinco FC and the Rovers will compete for the second division championship. During the game, members will cheer, drum, and support the local soccer scene.
“We want to get the soccer community to celebrate the best teams in town, so they can see what we, as a city, have and help us grow AFC Mobile into something truly special,” says AFC Mobile board member Daniel McMillian.
Following the game, members of the board will go to Island Wings on Dauphin Street and will answer questions about the club, its goals, and more plans for local games this summer.
